How to get the most out of WhatLater

WhatLater has exactly one rule: if you want to keep it, send it. Here's how to turn that into a library that runs itself.

1. Make WhatLater your reflex share target

Reading something on X, YouTube, a news app? Share → WhatsApp → WhatLater. It saves instantly with tags. On your laptop, drag our bookmarklet to the bookmarks bar and it's one click.

2. Send more than links

Photos of receipts, wine labels, whiteboards — the text in them becomes searchable. Voice notes get transcribed word for word. Documents, locations and plain thoughts all get their own cards. If it matters, it has a home.

3. Ask for reminders in plain words

Reply to any saved card with "remind me Saturday morning" — or just tell the bot "call the accountant Thursday 4pm". The reminder arrives as a WhatsApp message, where you'll actually see it.

4. Let the hub do the housekeeping

Open the hub when you have a quiet moment. Filter by type, source or tag; archive in bulk after an import; rename, favorite, add notes. Every card has its own link — share one with anyone, no login needed on their side.

5. Bring your old library with you

Pocket, Instapaper, Raindrop, browser bookmarks — export, drop the file into Save & import, done. Duplicates are skipped, tags appear on their own.

That's it. One contact in your WhatsApp, and nothing you meant to keep gets lost again.
